Rep. Donald McEachin (D-VA) Says The GOP Tax Plan Has Caused The Party to Lose All Credibility▼
Congressman Donald McEachin from Virginia's fourth district spoke with Cheddar's J.D. Durkin on Monday about tax reform. He says that if Republicans pass it, the American people will lose. The current plans, Rep. McEachin says, benefit the wealthiest American's and hurt the middle class. The congressman added that the GOP has lost all credibility in regards to the deficit, given their proposed plan will add trillions of dollars to it.
Republicans in Congress recently passed the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act, which allows gun holders from any U.S. state carry weapons over state lines with no restrictions. Congressman McEachin says the Republicans are in the pocket of the NRA and that the passage of this act puts American's in danger by 'watering down' regulations.
Congressman McEachin sits on the House Natural Resources Committee. On the President's proposed rollback of federal land protections in Utah, Congressman McEachin says the move further shows the administration wants to benefit big business, in this case, oil companies. Source
